Students are allowed to bring ONE medium suitcase, a backpack/carry-on bus bag, and a pillow/blanket for the long bus rides.
What to bring:
- All bathroom necessities (soap, deodorant-MANDATORY, shampoo, febreeze, etc.)
- Dirty clothes bag/sack
- Good walking shoes - you will be walking and working a lot!
- Wallet/Purse
- Picture ID (either a drivers license, permit, school ID, or passport)
- Small bag for “day” use
- An Easter candy treat for Desiree and Matt
- Work clothes (clothes you don’t mind getting dirty) and gloves (needed for some projects)
- Bible/Pen/pencil
- Sunglasses
- Money for additional things (See Pg 8 for additional details)
- Phone/Camera/other electronics - see rules on pg. 9 for a list of acceptable electronic items
- Two Tour Shirts (provided - one chalky mint comfort color and one neon-red orange comfort color) - bring extra t-shirts to go under your tour shirts...helps keep you fresh smelling :-)
- Shorts (bring at least 1 pair of khaki/white shorts or capri’s)/T-shirts/Jeans/Sweatshirt - (bring at least one for those cool evenings)/finger-tip length shorts if desired for Disney - Right now it looks like highs will be in the upper-70s and lows in the upper-50s.
- A few ministry shirts (i.e. shirts from camps, d-now, etc.) as work shirts
- Any medications you need to take, notify Mrs. Kathy Short (common over-the-counter medicines are available from our nurses if needed)
- Umbrella (small/portable) & a disposable poncho for Disney - you can count on rain at least one day in Florida!
- A positive attitude!
****YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING A SWIMSUIT OR BATH TOWELS****
Use logic when packing. Please, please, please don’t pack 15 pairs of shoes or 13 complete outfits, because you won’t use them all! Don’t pack anything illegal like guns, knives, drugs, alcohol, etc. If I find these, you will automatically be sent home at your own expense. Remember, the more you pack, the more you will have to unload and reload at the hotel!
